Can my new xbox 360 make loud random noises at night?

After just buying a new (black wi-fi kenect) xbox, I've been hearing randomly loud "chirp" type noise in the middle at the night in my living room. One thing I think it is, is that I leave my toshiba big screen tv on after I play. Could it be trying to connect with the xbox or some type of "short circut"... I know this may seem dumb but any help would be appreciated. I'm just wondering what the noise could be
