Can I get a continuance on my court date if I already have a vacation planned and paid for?

I have a minor drug charge in philadelphia and I got the date of the preliminary hearing which falls on the week I am supposed to go to Mexico and Im wondering if i will be able to get a continuance. I have proof of the flight and all of that stuff.
