What hz passive crossover should i get for my 6x9s?

i have 2 rockford fosgate punch 6 x9s and i had just used the one that was on there to go on the positive wire so it was a cheap solution for a crossover but when i turn the bass up on songs with a lot of bass it distorts a lot so im thinking ill just buy a crossover designed for it so what hz should i get for strictly highs? the crossover that was on there is a tiny black cylinder lookign thing it was used for the mids and highs in the middle of the woofer part

well idk maybe is because im in high school (11th grade) and people say im going through that "awkward" stage but lately ive been feeling really left out. Like a few days ago my best friends and i had a sleep over (we always have a blast together) but they spend their whole time talking to this two guys (im really good friends with one of them and i know the other guy but we dont talk as much) the thing is that i tried to make conversation with them but it ddnt work and they talked for like 6 hours...so i just went to sleep (cause i started working this summer so im like really tired all the time and bored to death since i was being excluded from all their inside jokes and stuff) Also they seem to think that im lame or something cause im tired all the time now since i started working so when i leave at like 10 or 11 pm they dont seem to understand that im tired...even if i explain. They just say "whatever just go to work tired and sleep the next day" but i cant do that..none of them work so they dont know what it feels like. Then one of my best friends (since she changed schools) has turned kind of rude and annoying. Like we would be having a good time but if someone else thinks that it wasnt cool whatever we were doing she would come out of nowhere and say she was bored out her mind. Which kind of hurts my feelings cause wen its only the two of us she is completly different...nicer. Or i would say something and then just to look cool she would say something really loud to make it seem like im stupid. Like me and this two girls are really close and i can say they are my best friends but since last week things havent been good at all....any advice??

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and I think it is a really cool device. I am having a problem though trying to find the right games to download on this device from the market place. I downloaded a couple of games but they did not look right so I deleted them off the Galaxy. I cannot tell when I am in the market place what apps are specifically for the Samsung 10.1. I also own a IPad 2 and I find the app store has a lot of games that work on the IPad 2 and they really look great. I really would like the Galaxy Tab to work for me. I once had a Galaxy Tab 7in and I found alot of games that worked great on that device. I found that some of the games I downloaded onto the Galaxy 10.1 were not clear and looked a little distorted. So maybe the games I downloaded off the website were not really for the 10.1 how can I tell if a game is compatible with the Galaxy10.1?

How can I get rid of the distortion in my car speakers?

You need to examine everything present. Car stereos usually play best with 4 ohm speakers. The output of the stereo should not be more than the speakers are rated to handle. Will turning the volume up too loud blow out mah speakers?

Okay, first off I don't want any dumbasses answering saying, "of course it will you little spitfuck!" like every other question i've looked up so far. Of course, a common myth has gone around claiming that the volume is what breaks speakers but recently a friend of mine whose pretty smart when it comes to technology said its from volume change. Like if I turned on my speaker when it was already set to full volume it might blow out but if I ease into it wont. And if I go from full volume to muting it it may blow out. So whose correct? Is it volume, volume change or something completely different. Also I don't want someone just saying something out of stupidity or ignorance, so it'd be nice if you couls ite your sources or give a logical reason to why it works the way it does :D thanks

Why does my acoustic guitar sound overdriven?

So I have been in the middle of doing some home recording with my band. I've been using a combination of a condenser mic with the d.i of my guitar, but the sound coming out of my d.i has this overdriven, distorted feel. Any ideas why, and can it be fixed? It also happens now when I plug into anything so it's probably not an error with any of my equipment. Please help

Strange Rumble Noise over City?

Its 2 AM and I heard a loud rumble noise pass over my house. It sounded like jet plane was flying 20 feet over my house. I look out the window and see nothing. I could hear the rumble for about 1min it woke up all the dogs in the area and make them bark. 30min later I hear it again and look out my window and see what looks like a fighter jet(Not sure it was pretty far away) flying about what looked like no more then 40 mph. It was a good 3/4 mile away and the noise was crazy loud. The noise does not really sound like a plane but it was close. It did not sound like anything I have ever heard. Anyone got any idea what it is?

IPod Touch earphone jack not working right?

I got my iPod last summer (in either june or july) and it was workign fine until last week the earphones were coming out distorted so i changed my earphones thinking it was just those and with 2 new pairs it still did it. It works fine if I like put pressure on the plug in part. I only dropped it once while on the treadmill like 2 weeks after I got it and it has never been around water so I sure nothing got in it. I'm useless and my moms upset with me..?

I am anorexic and I have depression and an anxiety disorder. I've been going to therapy, seeing doctors, and overall, I'm really resource and time consuming. My dads been out of town for two weeks and I have a 13 and a 3 year old brothers so I'm tryin to help out around the house by cleaning, cooking, and doing other chores. My 13 year old brother watches my 3 year old brother and gets lots of thanks and praise. When I help, I get thanks but I just feel unappreciated and really guilty all the time. I try to relieve my moms stress but I'm not good enough. I tried talking to my mom about how I feel and she said 90% of her time and resources go into me and she's overwhelmed by me and says I'm mentally distorted. She says that the things I do to "help" are just things that should come natural when you're a part of a family and that I should do those things automatically. She says that she never knows what she's gonna get when she talks to me cuz I might be angry or moody and she feels like she never says anything right to me because I'm so sensitive. For the last 2 hours I've been crying so much and I feel so useless and guilty I want to die.. I'm never going to be good enough and helpful because I'm so high maintaince and difficult to my mom. I hate myself and I wish I could be a good person. I try so hard but it's never enough :'( please help me!!! :(

I have a question about a interference with official acts citation I recieved.?

I'm a motel mgr. and one of my long term occupants was beaten up by her boyfriend. She called the cops. The police arrived when I was walking the lot making my rounds after closing. The first officer that arrived asked who I was. I told him "I'm the manager" he said "Go back to your office". I said, " I have to make my rounds first". He didn't reply with any kind of answer and i walked on. I stayed 48 feet from the so called scene. Which was inside the room with the door closed. The officers were knocking on the door trying to get the perp to open the door. They asked the victim for her key, she said I don't have it. One of the officers said, I will go to the office to see if the mgr. has a key, the officer who I spoke to originally said "the mgr. is down there"pointing in my direction. He then yelled down to me and asked if I had my keys on me. I said yes i do. He sent the other officer to get them. I showed him wich key it was and explained how to open the door. He brought the keys back to me. A minute later the first officer yelled down to me again, "do you have a deadbolt key on your keys by any chance?" I said yes I do, do you need it? He sent the other officer down again to get them from me. I showed him wich key it was and in the middle of explaining to the officer that he was going to have to unlock the other lock again because they automaticlly lock, mind you, the officer was standing next to me the whole time i'm showing him the keys, the other officer yells at me to get away from the crime scene. I didnt know who he was yelling at until I looked up and seen him looking at me, I said "What? he said, I'm not going to tell you again, or you will be under arrest for interference with official acts. I replied " I'm giving him the keys you requested" he then said "thats it, and walked over to me and put my hands behind my back and told me I was under arrest for interference with official acts. I said I didn't do anything, I was giving him the keys u asked for. He said "I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about the first time I told you to go to your office". "I don't need your keys, i was just being nice asking for them, I can kick the door in if I want"! He handcuffed me and sat me down closer to the scene. Afterwards, he took the handcuffs off of me and wrote me a citation. I have witnesses to the whole incident. I have taken written statements from any and all witnesses. I went to the preliminary hearing and plead not guilty, because I dont think I am. If he was going to arrest me then why didn't he do it when I told him I had to make my rounds, why didn't he say " thats it, your under arrest at that moment"? My other question is this,- On my ticket he wrote my address down as the victims address. He asked me what unit was the Mgr.'s unit, I told him #6, he wrote down on my ticket that I lived in unit #28-the victims unit. Can this citation/tickey be dismissed or thrown out? Because he wrote down the wrong unit that I live in?

I had a dream this morning that my eye fell and was bleeding. What does that mean???

Ok so here is the whole story. I woke up this morning but my mom said to sleep for like an extra hour because it was too early. Then when I fell asleep I had a dream that first I got out of bed but something kept pulling me over to the bed again. Also in the dream I could not even see very well. EVERYTHING was all blurry and I was so scared. Then I went into the kitchen and my eye was bleeding and it fell. I was trying to scream but something made me not able to scream out loud. I started crying with the other eye and then I woke up. A really weird thing is that when half of the dream was starting I woke up. Then I closed my eye a little bit and the dream continued. That happened like ten times until the dream was COMPLETELY over. Does anyone know what this could mean? I cannot stop thinking about the dream. Renault clio 1.2 starts up but cuts out if no acceleration can be driven but cuts out?

my renault clio 51 plate 1.2 is having running problems.it was running ok ,and the engine management light was going off and on for a few weeks but it cut out at junctions but when it was driving didnt cut out .then it stopped doing it for a few weeks and was running ok ,until the other day when i checked the oil it was empty so i put some in straight away as i didnt know how long it had been with no oil,the next day i drove a 30 mile journey with no problems,then the next day when i started it up it run for about 15 seconds then cut out ,i tried to drive it but when i got a few yards around 10 it cut out on me and felt quite rough to drive ,then when i opened the bonnet i could hear a noise which sounded like it was coming from the engine only way to describe it was like tapping a spanner onto metal but not excesivley loud does anyone know what it could be as i dont want to be ripped off from a garage ,i did get the aa out and their diagnostic test showed nothing but when i had one previous to this problem e few things come up but i dont know what they were the aa man said that it had been cleared whatever that means any help would be good thx also their is a slight burning of oil or fuel smell

Am I developing a psychotic condition?

I started cutting at age 12 later to find out I had depression, I take Prozac for it. When I was 13 I started having paranoia and agoraphobia so they upped the dose on my Prozac which helps with my paranoid feelings.... Though I still act upon my paranoia at times, such as taping my camera lens so people cannot watch me or even dialing 911 just because I think something bad will happen. The reason why I am asking this is because I was just trying to fall asleep and all of a sudden a really loud voice came in my head and I woke right up... I don't think that's normal and at the moment I am hearing clear voices in my head, I use to imagine voices but they never each had their own individual tones and dialects... It was sort of like I was just thinking oddly to myself... But now the voices are so clear and annoying that I just can't handle it. I'm 14 going on 15 years old, do you think maybe my depression could really be anything else?? I also have sever mood swings if someone upsets me... One little thing and I'm breaking things, thinking about cutting again, and keeping myself from all humanity.

I don't know if I was raped or not?

I got a 92 (but probably failed my grade 8 practical), but my teacher kept on going on about how the average for Intermediate Harmony is about 66-68 which is apparently the lowest out of RCM's non practical exams. Car Speaker Probelm?? New car reciever or a new amp . I NEED HELP?

In my Toyota Camry 97 i have in the front doors Kicker Component DS6.2 , No speakers in the backdoors, and on the back dash Infinity Kappa 62.9i . I have a regular car reciever a kenwood KDC-4022 . After riden witht them turned up mid/loud they tend to distort and it sounds really ugly. Okay so we recently moved into my grandmas house(she died in 2006, other people moved in but then moved out so we bought it) and a lot of creepy crap is happening. I have been a skeptic all my life and i have never believed in ghosts until now. Whenever i would watch a monster or ghost movie i would get bored because i knew it was fake(this started when i was 8).I'm 15 now and thinking completely different about the paranormal. From the second i walked in i felt like i was being watched, at first i brushed it off that all those restless nights packing had gone to my head. All the time though the feeling surrounds me. Sometimes its so intense i feel like i'm going to vomit. I see things out of the corner of my eye, like shadows or things in the mirror. Sometimes i will lose things and find then days later in a completely different place. I hears footsteps outside my door and voices as well. My dog, who has never done this before, stares at my bedroom wall when there is nothing there, he growls sometimes to. My cat refuses to come inside my house and has become an outdoor cat. I read something online that said to get a digital recorder and ask questions, so i went out and purchased one and did so. I got nothing so i turned it on and left the room. My mom and sister were out shopping and my dad was outside with a friend so i thought it was a perfect time to get evidence. I thought i wouldn't get anything, but when i reviewed the recording the was this weird humming, and towards the end this loud growl. It really scared me and made me question my own sanity. I'm currently trying to get it on my computer. My dad says he had nothing happen to him but that his sisters and his mom said the house was haunted but i thought he was just messing with me. But now i think different. I feel like asking his sisters about they're experiences but i don't want them to think i'm crazy. I think i should go to the library and search the history about the area and the house. My dad hasn't had anything happen to him, but my mom has. She said she sees shadows of people outside the window, and sometimes her door will fling open. The door is a heavy wooden door that's hard to open as is, so wind in not a way to debunk it. My sister who is 7 refuses sleep alone. She says there are people in her room. Really i want to know what to do, i can barely stand this stuff any longer! It makes me terrified to sleep in my own bed or be in my own room!

I know alot of people have these but id have to say a Mexican or American Fender P Bass. This bass sounds pretty deep and clear. I own one and I noticed the tone difference the day I got it. Because of this bass im forever loyal to Fender basses.

How Do I Post Images on Craiglist Properlly?

If you don't get the check in the next day or two, hire a lawyer. Sometimes people don't take you seriously until a lawyer gets involved. It would be worth it just to have someone get you real answers instead of this runaround from the company. A lawyer could get in touch with the insurance company and light a fire them to get your money. One other thing I'd suggest is to write your incident to a newspaper that has an investigatory column for people who have been screwed over. I am 18 and she is 16 and we are probably the most opposite people on the planet. I am very shy/quiet and she is loud/outgoing. Speaker jack won't work?

I recently bought new speakers and the jack/connector part that plugs into my ipod acts really weird. Depending on what way it is twisted, different speakers will or won't work. There's a 'sweetspot' of sorts that gets all of them to work, but moving ipod or handling the jack in anyway will distort it again. What are my options?? I don't think it's under a warranty since I bought it off amazon.

I had a dream last night that I was at my friends and my cab came to go home so I walked out the front door off the porch and toward the cab but as soon as I got off the porch I noticed a dog so I just kept walking to the cab but then it started trying to bite me. So I started running the other way down this ally to try to go around to the cab cause I figured his leash would stop him but it didn't I got to like this ally way and I heard something say don't go that way you'll get shot, but I just kept runnin away from the dog and that's when I felt the bite on my left hand. Hi i have a JL 13w7 powered by a JL 1000/1 amp and a 1 farad rockford fosgate 1 farad cap. My sub works perfectly fine when i have the volume low or medium but when i increase to to a higher level it begins to distort. When i took it to the guys that installed it they told me that the coils are overheating but i feel they just want me to buy a sub from them as they insisted that JL audio suck and that the fosgate t2's they have are better. Also, i have it in a sealed box that's built to spec. I feel that it might just be tuned wrong but at the same time i don't know much about car audio.

My mom is upset with me..?

I am anorexic and I have depression and an anxiety disorder. I've been going to therapy, seeing doctors, and overall, I'm really resource and time consuming. My dads been out of town for two weeks and I have a 13 and a 3 year old brothers so I'm tryin to help out around the house by cleaning, cooking, and doing other chores. Is my security camera going bad or is someone distorting it?

I have a home security camera system. It is wired, weather proof, and has night vision. The wiring is mounted along the side of my home and I made sure to set it in the camera's view so there is no way for anyone to tamper with it without being caught on camera. Why did my OLYMPUS T20 Flash make a loud POP/SNAP sound?

This flash was working just fine right when I bought it. I took several shots with it until a random POP/SNAP sound occurred seconds after I turned it off. I turned it back on to see if the charged light would appear, but it never seemed to come back on anymore. I opened up the flash and saw many wiring inside connected to a circular cylinder black object. I tried to take the tape off the circular object and the POP noise happened again in my face. When I turn it on, I can still hear a sound as if it's trying to get charged but it's not apprehending to it's fully functioning process.. What could be wrong? Why is my computer so loud?

I've had this HP desktop for about 3 years now but probably in the last 2 i've had this problem. Its not the cpu fan because i had it cleaned out by a computer shop about 3-4 months ago and i just cleaned it about 3 days ago. It only makes the noise when i play games or do a lot or heavy stuff. If it makes the noise for about 30 minutes straight it will just power down. No warning, nothing, it'll just shut off. When i turn it back on again it only takes 20 minutes to just shut off then lower and lower each time, so eventually i just have to shut it off and leave it for the day. I've been doing a little research and am thinking its the hardrive. What do you think?

Housemate playing mind games?

False positive test Lyme?

About 2 weeks ago I developed a weird rash overnight that looked like hives. I had never had it before so I went to the doctor who did blood work. The rash went away 2 days later. A couple days after they said a preliminary test came back positive for lyme and when that happens the lab does a 2nd test which also came back positive for lyme. Well... about a week and a half later they wanted to do more blood work to recheck it and I just got a call saying it was negative! I'm very happy but why did this happen? Why would it come back positive the first time and negative this time? I'm going to be rechecked in 4-6 weeks.

False positive/Indeterminate HIV status?

Today I went in for HIV and took an oral swab/Rapid test which gave me my results back in 20 minutes. The results came back preliminary positive. At which point they took two blood samples and ran two more test. Both of these tests came back negative. However they sent the second blood sample, along with another oral swab to the lab for testing to give me a definitive answer. I'm just wondering, how likely is it that my first result was just a false positive if two of my other tests (which were done on site) came back negative? Naturally, none of the volunteers at the clinic would say other than that my status was Indeterminate.

Skype sounds are distorted and jittery?

My son's elementary school has found "no problem" with him and has found him not to be in need of special services. I have just received preliminary results that he does qualify for special education services from independent testing. All this despite hiring an advocate (admittedly a poor one). Who can I go to within the system that will put pressure on the school (Principal) to buck up the money? My son deserves the special services and we pay taxes for just this reason. Now, I'm even wondering if the District Board of Ed puts pressure on the Principal to not spend. What can i do about guitar amp headphone problem?

1999 Ford f250 not starting. Help!?

well I too like you always have testing fever. As soon as my ovulation is finished I just want to test every day! I had a miscarriage in March and just want so bad to get pregnant again... So I decided to let him walk himself with the leash on. He did very well. The only thing was when we past a jogging person, car, or very loud noises I grab the leash and he starts to pull again. you should weigh about 100 for you age. I mean what you weigh now if fine but don't try to lose weight. If you say everything is tight then why lose more weight. Also body fat is a good thing. You actually need some to be healthy. So don't lose the weight just be normal. If there is still some fat when you like you don't have any good for you but you will make yourself very sick trying to stay on that diet and losing that much weight

Here's my story: Some chick in class had a ghost hunting party and said a mass murder took place in their house, and at the party everyone was told to be completely still and quiet. Where the girl who made the party, let's call her M, was sitting, people heard footsteps. No one believed it, so she told them to go in the bathrooms themselves with the lights out. And their bathroom is creepy. The mirror is shattered in the middle because M was angry and threw a soap bottle at it. Under the mirror is reflective silver, so you can still use the mirror. No one looks at the hole and is usually covered by a piece of paper or something because m had trauma claiming she sees people in it. (Probably her shoulder/elbow with a few locks of her hair sprawled around it, and was distorted because of the silver) their bathtub is completely normal, but the shower curtain has a few holes in it and the shelves in it are small so things often fall off randomly. The toilet was, well, a toilet. So I knew why she chose, of all places, the bathroom. People are generally freaked out and their mind would drive them to beleiving they heard scary things. So to prove nothing was in there I took the offer. Every one waited outside the door cautiously. The random sounds I heard were just people giggling out the door. I kept my eyes closed, but you know how you can't always keep your eyes closed? They just randomly open up? Well the kids thought it would be funny if they shined a flashlight under the door. So I could see a small strip of light on the floor. I looked down and saw two feet right infront of me. The door was locked and I hadn't heard it open. I am not one to brag about my bravery. I had promised my self if I had seen a ghost I would try to see them better or communicate. But I went running screaming out of the door.. when I was back with every one i turned on the light and looked in the bath and cabinets and other available hiding spaces. Nothing. No one. Hearing loss and ear drum damage from earphones and loud music.. is it reversable?

So I am an old man and all, just turned 27 last month, and I have been listening to music LOUD ever since i remember.. but lately i have been doing alot of packing and moving so I have been listening to my ipod pretty much all day, and my itunes on my computer every night for hours..the earphone are the small ones that go right into your ear. So I have been waking up lately and my right ear feels weird now, like there is a constant ear inffection (much like the feeling of alot of water in your ear), but there is no pain. I got to listen to music loud because thats the only way to listen to it really. So i went ahead a bought me some of those big head phones to use, but i don't wanna wear that in public, The small ear phones are the best for that. Anyways, if i have damaged my hearing, is it gone forever?. if it is then i won't take it that hard because i have been a loose cannon for about a 15 years! So something was bounf to happen, plus I am at the age where i should be worried about skin and prostate cancer, so its the least of my worries if it doesn't kill me..but will it effect me getting a job?

It has been almost 2 months since this woman (around 40) has moved in with her family. Since she has been here there has been loud music daily, loud talking, a shooting on lawn from an out of control party, numerous fights, and threats to the other neighbors because they called the cops. One of my neighbors actually bought a shotgun just to protect himself because he was threatened by her company...The police have been over here numerous times and they act like they don't give a crap. What the HELL is this dream all about?

i fell asleep earlier and had the most intense lucid dream ever. i was walking in what seemed like a dark and evil version of Wonderland and i approached a scary house. i went inside it and looked at the ceiling, and it was an upside down version of the room i was in. i jumped and flew up and hit the ceiling, as gravity shifted i collapsed on what was now the new floor. then i remember a forest, a very real forest. i was just walking around, aware i was in a dream, touching plants, rocks, and various objects to see how real they felt. also i felt pain when i tripped. i woke up for a few seconds and was back in the dream right after i closed my eyes. then the dream started to fade the more i told myself i was in a dream. then i told myself that this is a dream but i'm going to stay in it, and after that, i was more within that world than before. then i tried making things by imagining them, and it started to work. i tried to summon a hot girl, she appeared all fuzzy and distorted. then i fell, hit my head and woke up.

Why is my cobra making a buzzing noise?

I have a 2003 mustang cobra with a ported Eaton and upgraded upper and lower pulleys. Recently there has been a loud buzzing noise coming from what sounds like the supercharger (i could be wrong though). it gets louder and changes pitch when the RPMs go up. At idle you don't hear the noise at all. i have already replaced the bearings in the idler pulleys and about to change the oil in the supercharger. if that doesn't work i am taking the supercharger apart, however i do not wish to do that. i would be eternally great full if anyone could tell me what the noise could be and how to fix it.

Can you still be released on your own recognizance if its a felony?

My husband was arrested last week and i believe what he is being charged with is a felony, but this will be his first offense. Also someone called me from the jail today and was asking me questions like how long has he lived in this state? how long have we lived in our home? does he have a job, and if he is released will he be able to stay in our home. Then she told me he has another court date in the morning, but his preliminary trial is not until next month. So im wondering with her calling does that mean they are planning on releasing him, maybe they are trying to make sure he isnt a flight risk? Im not sure but im stressed out and im worried. I only practise on a keyboard and my teacher is very experienced and doesn't have a problem with it. If you reckon it sounds alright I don't think it will affect you as a beginner except the sound may not be as nicer. Hope I helped :-)

Not a fan of this, I guess this year it would have been useful for the WC since there was such a large amount of teams fighting for the 8th spot. I like how long the playoffs are now, adding two more series might be pushing it in my opinion. I think the bigger issue is OT/shoot-out rather than more teams in the playoffs.

Weird noise when someone dies?

I'm thinking your aunt heard something that was unrelated. Perhaps something falling and rolling outside. I mean no offense nor am I attempting to cast doubt upon your aunts sanity, I'm just saying that's happened to me sometimes where I'll hear something weird at the same time as I see something unrelated happen and thought it was something else.

Why can I only sleep at sunrise?

For the past few weeks I have only been able to fall asleep at sunrise. What bothers me the most is that I have not changed my eating habits or have any more stress that I ever have had which is what my doctors have told me what might be the top causes of my sudden change in sleep pattern. I have also been having really bizarre dreams that are heavily based on reality, as if i am experiencing another day within the day I have already been through. The only difference is every thing looks slightly distorted like looking through clear, stationary water. I am not sure if that has any relation to my change in sleep pattern but I thought it might be relevant to someone.

I hate my so much when they're drunk but why?

How old are you? I wouldn't kill yourself over this. I get really angry too when my parents drink. I hate the sight of drunk people. I get really annoyed and frightened by it too. Trust me, this isn't a reason to kill yourself. I know right now thinks suck badly, but eventually you can move out. If things get too bad you can call child service and ask to be removed from the home and live with a different relative or something. There are better ways to deal with this than to kill yourself. Just think for a second. If you did kill yourself I'm sure that your parents drinking would get worse because they'd feel so bad and their lives would be a living hell too. Do you really want to cause that suffering, the way they've made you suffer? I hope not. Just be rational about it. I'm really glad that you're one of the people who thinks drunk people are stupid too. You sound like a great person, and it would be a tragedy for one less good person to be in the world. There's already a shortage of good people, so the world needs you. Just think, you play a role in this world that is very important, don't let drunken parents get in the way of this, okay? At least your parents aren't physically abusive from what you've said, but they seen to be emotionally abusive, and they also waste their money a lot..but, just don't end your life over this.

Does anyone remember this old children's book about a dragon?

I have a vague memory of this one picture book from when I was a kid but we don't have it anymore and I can't find it in Google. It centered around a little boy who went to fight a dragon because everyone in his village was afraid of it. But when the dragon comes out of the cave, it turns out he is not a real dragon at all but one made out of springs, gears, and clockwork bits. I can't remember any more details of the plot except I think one of the reasons everyone was afraid of it was the loud clanging sound it made when it walked. The illustrations were all in reds, oranges, browns, and blacks I think... but it is all so hazy! Does this ring a bell to anyone else? Based on my memory of it, our copy was probably published between 1950 - 1965. It would be great of someone else remembers this because it is driving me nuts!
