What are the preliminary steps in opening a venue/night club in the city of detroit?

I have been formulating a plan to open a new wave/electro/techno club in detroit with my partner tom. We are 21 and 22 year old college students in detroit and have pretty extensive experience in the technical aspect of making a club work. We just need to know what the preliminary steps are for the business/legal side and financing the operation. We do not have a location yet. Do we find a location first and approach a bank or investor with the plan? Or do we go to the bank or investor first. Thank you.

Thoughts on this playoff format proposed in the collective bargaining agreement?

Not a fan of this, I guess this year it would have been useful for the WC since there was such a large amount of teams fighting for the 8th spot. I like how long the playoffs are now, adding two more series might be pushing it in my opinion. I think the bigger issue is OT/shoot-out rather than more teams in the playoffs.

Weird noise when someone dies?

I'm thinking your aunt heard something that was unrelated. Perhaps something falling and rolling outside. I mean no offense nor am I attempting to cast doubt upon your aunts sanity, I'm just saying that's happened to me sometimes where I'll hear something weird at the same time as I see something unrelated happen and thought it was something else.

Why can I only sleep at sunrise?

For the past few weeks I have only been able to fall asleep at sunrise. What bothers me the most is that I have not changed my eating habits or have any more stress that I ever have had which is what my doctors have told me what might be the top causes of my sudden change in sleep pattern. I have also been having really bizarre dreams that are heavily based on reality, as if i am experiencing another day within the day I have already been through. The only difference is every thing looks slightly distorted like looking through clear, stationary water. I am not sure if that has any relation to my change in sleep pattern but I thought it might be relevant to someone.

I hate my so much when they're drunk but why?

How old are you? I wouldn't kill yourself over this. I get really angry too when my parents drink. I hate the sight of drunk people. I get really annoyed and frightened by it too. Trust me, this isn't a reason to kill yourself. I know right now thinks suck badly, but eventually you can move out. If things get too bad you can call child service and ask to be removed from the home and live with a different relative or something. There are better ways to deal with this than to kill yourself. Just think for a second. If you did kill yourself I'm sure that your parents drinking would get worse because they'd feel so bad and their lives would be a living hell too. Do you really want to cause that suffering, the way they've made you suffer? I hope not. Just be rational about it. I'm really glad that you're one of the people who thinks drunk people are stupid too. You sound like a great person, and it would be a tragedy for one less good person to be in the world. There's already a shortage of good people, so the world needs you. Just think, you play a role in this world that is very important, don't let drunken parents get in the way of this, okay? At least your parents aren't physically abusive from what you've said, but they seen to be emotionally abusive, and they also waste their money a lot..but, just don't end your life over this.

Does anyone remember this old children's book about a dragon?

I have a vague memory of this one picture book from when I was a kid but we don't have it anymore and I can't find it in Google. It centered around a little boy who went to fight a dragon because everyone in his village was afraid of it. But when the dragon comes out of the cave, it turns out he is not a real dragon at all but one made out of springs, gears, and clockwork bits. I can't remember any more details of the plot except I think one of the reasons everyone was afraid of it was the loud clanging sound it made when it walked. The illustrations were all in reds, oranges, browns, and blacks I think... but it is all so hazy! Does this ring a bell to anyone else? Based on my memory of it, our copy was probably published between 1950 - 1965. It would be great of someone else remembers this because it is driving me nuts!
